I have read so much about the durian seller at Balestier but never had the chance to try. It was until today both of us had cravings for durian that we decided to head there after dinner, together with my mum.
This Combat durian stall is located next to a chinese temple along Balestier Road. You wont miss it!
The good thing about the durian stall here is that there are ample parking spaces nearby.

Look! Even celebritys patronize this stall.
Prior to coming here, we had probably expected the durians to be expensive. Hub brought about $200 in cash just in case. But guess what? We have a box of Mao Shan Wang (MSW) and a box of red prawn. Both boxes were quite full and it costs us $25 only! Really delighted our evening!
The tables here are clean compared to those in Geylang. Free flow of drinking water is given too.
The durian is not expensive but its good. It will make us come back more often!
Hub is more willing to buy durians to eat at home now as they do vacuum pack which will not leave a strong stench in your car. Hurray to vacuum pack!!
The people at the stall is also friendly unlike some places where the stallholders intimidate you to buying expensive expensive durians in kilos.
We will be back! :)
Got Service: 6/10
