Hoshino Coffee @ Plaza Singapura

Each time we pass by the Hoshino Coffee outlet, there is no short of Q forming to enter the open concept cafe in Plaza Singapura.

The yummy looking display at the entrance makes one want to hop in for a bite.

Finally, the chance came. We didn't want a heavy lunch and since we were in the vicinity, we decided to give it a try.

When we first entered the cafe, it was a pleasant surprise that there were baskets in the cafe for patrons to put their bags in. I like the idea. Guests can sit in comfortably and not worrying having to put their expensive branded bags on the dirty floor.

Not sure if you realize. These days many eating places do not automatically offer you ice water until you asked. When we were looking through the menu, ice water was served to us. This is the bare minimum any restaurant should have. Since diners pay service charge, a small glass of ice water is a nice gesture.

Hub ordered a ham and egg sandwich. I must say their sandwich is really nice. Anyone can make sandwiches but one that makes you give thumbs up and want to come back for it again, makes the difference.

I ordered the pancake dessert. The pancake is different from those we normally eat. Its thicker and is topped off with ice cream / whipped cream and fruits. Personally I think the pancake is ok. Nothing fantastic. Maybe I don't quite like it that its so thick. But texture wise, it's not too bad.

And we both ordered a hot beverage at $2.90++ each with every main meal or dessert ordered. For a pot of tea at $2.90, it's really value for money! Hub ordered the japanese hand-dripped coffee and he gave thumbs up!
