The Buffet @ M Hotel

Last year we signed a one year ala carte membership card with Millennium Group. So whenever we dine at their restaurants, we get discounts.

If member brings a guest, it is 50% off. The more guests a member brings, the discount gets lesser.

Being a member of the group also gave us a stack of vouchers to be utilized at the restaurants.

They served durian purees in shot glasses. We love their durian purees. It's yummy and not too sweet.

It's a steamboat but they serve live drunken prawn which they will cook for you.

The seafood items they serve for the steamboat is really fresh. And they replenish them quite frequently.

I love places that serves see hums for steamboat. Best part is they have been de-shelled!

What's special is the buffet area has herbs for you to add into your soup base.

And there's lotsa sauces for you to choose from.

The ingredients available is quite good.

The steamboat buffet on weekends per head is about $58++. Not cheap but with the member's card, it is still quite worth it.

One thing I didn't like about some of their services is that not all the wait staff are friendly. Sometimes you cannot even find one on the floor when you needed help. The service standard is also not consistent throughout. Some tables they serve appetisers (fish crackers), some they don't.

There is this non-chinese manager who is always grumpy! I'm not sure if to refer to she or he but anyway I shall take it as he.... he doesnt smile at all! That is bad for a service line. And it doesnt make patrons feel welcome.

This is one of our favourite restaurants under the Millennium Group. But unlikely we will sign the membership card again. Don't think we would like to head back often to a place that is not so friendly and inconsistent on their service.

Will I Return to This Outlet: Maybe
Got Service: 3/10
