Any mummies or daddies here feels the stress for their kids? Especially those going for P1 registration soon?
Well, my boy is only 3.5 years old and soon it will be my turn to worry. While I may not be a kiasu mummy who insists that the boy must score academically, I do have my fair share of worries too that my boy may not go into a good school. Good school? You may ask what do I mean by good school? To me, character building is more important than academics. Hence my definition of a good school is where the school focuses on character building and has good discipline.
I am quite torn if to take up parent volunteer (PV). Its a commitment once I decide to take up but unfortunately I do not have the luxury of time. Work takes up much of my time and to spare my annual leave for such PV work, that would mean my mum can forget about taking her annual travel plans (she is taking care of my boy in the day while I work).
It's tough being a parent. There are so many things to worry about and decide while trying to balance between the child and the caregiver. So to those who thinks we FTWMs have a good time, be in this position before you comment. :)
Anyway, I came across this blog of a parent who had shared how they had risked taking up PV and yet got their child into the preferred choice of school.
