Mid-Autumn @ Gardens By The Bay

In recent years, during Mid-Autumn, the Gardens by the Bay would host lantern structures to celebrate this festive.

In the past, people would all flock to the Chinese Garden for this festive and to be frank, it wasn't worth it. Entrance fee was expensive and the lantern structures weren't that impressive. It also looked the same throughout the years.

Ever since Gardens by the Bay celebrates Mid-Autumn with these lantern displays, we have stopped visiting Chinese Garden. :P

There is no entrance fee at Gardens by the Bay for these lantern displays and the area is huge so there were many more impressive lantern structures being displayed.

Some of the displays were actually made by school students. Students these days are creative and very very talented!

Besides these lantern structures, there are stalls selling snacks and drinks too.

On the day we visited, there was an run/jog event going on and the President was there. I thought it was not a good idea to coincide the event with the mid-autumn festival. There were many families with young kids and when night falls, it can get quite dark. With the crowd, the participants for the run/job made the place even more crowded and can be hazardous at some point. Some latern structures were not lighted up too and that area was very very dark.

Hope next year, it will be better.

Will I Visit Again: Yes
