Ma Maison @ Bugis

Met a friend for lunch at Bugis today.

Saw Ma Maison's set lunches so decided to head in for a try.

They have several set lunches to choose and all the set lunches are around $11 to $17. It comes with a soup, salad, bread, main course and a drink, which was quite worth imo.

I'm not really a fan of corn soup but this is nice! It's lightweight and very smooth.

The bread is really good. Even after leaving it on the table for a while, its still crunchy and soft on the white. You can choose either rice or bread.

We both had the same beef steak. We were not asked how well we want it done but it was cooked to the perfect texture. Not tough not too bloody. It also came with spaghetti as a side which I thought was too heavy. It was also accompanied by mash potato. Will be good if it came in a bigger portion for the mash potato. :P And the spaghetti can do without and replace it with a small dessert. :P

Good to have a tea to wash out the heavy meal.

Setting within the little restaurant is cosy and homely. Although it is weekday lunch, the restaurant is busy. About 80% of the tables are filled. When we were seated and about to make our order, the service folks are really busy but service is still ok.

To make your payment, check out with the metal heavy key that is on your table.

At the payment counter, the lady who sounded like a Japanese was really polite and friendly. The entire lunch for 2 set cost us only $30. It's really value for money.

Overall, it would have been perfect if it came with dessert. And they have 50% off for selected dessert if you ordered the set lunch which we only got to know when settling the bill.

I'll definitely be back one day. The only bad thing is the ventilation isnt that good. I came out smelling like a fried food the entire day. Haha.
