Dim Sum Lunch @ Dragon Phoenix

We are back at Dragon Phoenix Restaurant again. This time we are back for its promotional dim sum where all items are at 50% off.

I remember in the past (long ago) when we patronized Dragon Phoenix, we would always order their porridge as it is one of their signature. This time round, I think the standard has dropped. While the porridge tasted yummy, the meat they used for the porridge is dry and 'siap siap'. Definitely not a must order item if we visit again.

Their mini egg tarts are yummy. It's crispy on the outside and the egg custard softness is just nice. Hub usually does not like egg tarts but this is so good that he says its nice. And we ordered a 2nd helping.

This beancurd prawn roll is nice too. Crispy and not too oily.

Siew Mai - Hub had the whole lot cos mum and myself, we dont fancy siew mai. :P

The egg yolk custard bun is so so.

Fried banana roll -  I love food with fruits. Makes the item so much more appetizing.

Prawn Rice Roll

The har gao is good too. Skin is just nice. Not too thick.

The char siew bao is not too bad too.

This carrot cake took a long time to be served even thou the restaurant is not that crowded. Its a little too oily and if it can be fried a little more crispy on the outside, it would have been perfect.

Hub loves spring rolls so we ordered this.

The entire lunch cost $40+ for 3 adults and a child. Quite affordable I must say. Usually after a hearty dim sum lunch, one will feel yucky cos of the fried stuff but this meal, we felt it was not that oily. You should give them a try if you are looking for a new dim sum place.

During lunch, my naughty boy accidentally threw an used tissue into the plate of chilli sauce. The service staff saw and cleared the chilli sauce. While I am grateful she thinks that plate of chilli sauce is not edible anymore... it would have been nice if she can replace us with a new plate of chilli sauce as we were not done with our food yet. This is so meh meh! We had to ask another service staff to bring us a fresh new plate.
