i Light Marina Bay is Asia's only sustainable light art festival showcasing the innovative use of lighting lined up along the Marina Bay area.
This festival will run from 7 to 30 March, 7.30pm to 11.30pm.
There are free guided tours, performances, outdoor dining (Pasar Bella), bazaar stalls, talks, workshops and experience with lightings to make your evening at the bay interesting.

Here's the map to get you started.
If you are interested, you can park at the NTUC building and start your journey from there. We were early
at Marina Bay Sands for dinner so we walked from MBS 'lotus' to and fro NTUC building 2-3 times this evening. :P Good exercise! And thank god for the rain earlier so the weather was chilly and hazeless.
There are maps, directories, human guides and booths all lined along the bay to help you navigate around.
The temporary make shift outdoor dining area by Pasar Bella added an extra touch to this fun festival. There were food stalls, merchandise stalls and live band keeping you entertained.
This is such a nice feel and we felt it would be nice to have such an outdoor dining concept there permanently. Dine by the bay with such a spectacular view. Why not?
Jugglers performing for the kids.
There were free stripes of wishing ropes and lights given to the public to write their wishes and swing it up to the wishing tree. This was fun! Everyone was trying their best to hook their wishes up the tree but it wasn't an easy feat at all! After many many tries, hub finally made it for all of us.
Can you make it out that its a croco?
Some beary head lightings.
Kids having fun switching the lights on and off at the heart of hearts.
Lovely view by the bay.
Didn't manage to capture this nicely as it was too brightly lit.
What great way to celebrate this festival with a full moon!
Light balls along the bay. Kids love them.
Many kids were carrying a light spinner and naturally our boy wanted one too. These light spinners add fun to the atmosphere but is also a sucker to the parents' pockets with $10 a pc for these low quality light spinners!
This is one of my favorite at the exterior of the Art Science Museum - The Celebration of Life. There are several show times throughout the night. And each show time last for about 5 minutes.
Check out the show times: 8.15pm, 8.30pm, 8.45pm, 9.00pm, 9.15pm, 9.45pm, 10.00pm, 10.15pm, 10.30pm, 10.45pm (Take note, there is no 9.30pm show)
The wait for this show was worth it!
Kids love this pool the most I think. They kept jumping on it and the disc changes the lighting colours.
There are several more installations on the other side of the bay (floating platform, etc) which we couldnt finish covering. We will probably be back again! :D
Singapore is a small but vibrant city hence such events that are suitable for families are really a nice welcome. Though there is no cost to it, we had fun! Love such weekend activities and even my boy kept raving how happy and fun it was. :)
Updated 23 March 2014: We went back for the rest of the installations but they weren't anything that fantastic compared to the ones we saw the week before.
