Swensen's @ Changi Airport T2

It was the school holidays and we wanted to take our boy out for some fun. Unfortunately, the rain made us shelved our outdoor plans last minute. So we headed to Changi Airport. There is an Exotic Turkey event going on at T3. To get an entry pass, we needed to spend minimum $40 ($80 for supermarket spendings) at the Airport. Since we needed to lunch, we decided to eat first and use the receipt to redeem an entry pass for our boy. More on that later in the next entry.

Our boy requested for pasta and fries in which out of the pasta restaurants available at T2 and T3 (TCC, Pastamania and Swensen's), only Swensen's offered both.

The mushroom soup bread bowl. I much prefer the one at Souperlicious. The mushroom soup tasted a little bitter and the bread was baked too long until it didn't feel fresh at all. Overall, it wasn't satisfying at all.

We ordered a kid's meal. The pasta they offered was pasta bolognaise and comes with a cup of corn. Our boy prefers tomato based pasta and so I asked if they could customize his pasta to that with a change of cup corn to fries. They readily agreed. I appreciate this as I think it doesn't cost them much to do so plus that will make it so much easier for us to dine there with a toddler. Hot Tomato ought to learn from Swensen's!

The kid's pasta portion was generous but the pasta was a little undercooked. If its cooked a little longer so that its softer, that would be nicer. Also when placing the order, I requested for the kid's meal to be served first as the kid is hungry but they had the appetisers and soup bowl served first.

To see what else they have for kid's meal, check it out here.

Hub ordered an aglio olio main and was told there is a choice of an appetiser. So he chose the calamari.

With the kid's meal, we topped up for a treasure chest. It came with 4 small scoops of ice cream just nice for our family of three.

We waited for quite a while for this as I think the waiter forgot to inform the kitchen.

To be frank, I'm never a fan of Swensen's services. They are usually not very friendly, services are not consistently but we still dine there once a while because its reasonably priced and it has what my boy wants to eat.

Will I Return to This Outlet: Maybe
Got Service: 5/10
