It was by chance we discovered this dessert shop near our place. Ever since then we have been patronizing them in the last few years.
They are usually packed in the evenings especially on weekends and a Q will form waiting for seats.
In the shop, there are many interesting display of messages that looks like road signs found on HongKong streets. Mostly are translated from Cantonese so it sounds wacky and funny.
Free ice water for self service.
Seats are usually packed with youngsters. They don't really have publicity but their crowd never seems to end. I guess word of mouth plays an important part!
The bad thing about these young patrons is that they tend to hang around longer chatting, laughing and some playing card games. So that makes the seat turnaround even longer for those waiting in the Q. Would be nice if the staff at the shop can gently remind these patrons who are done with their dessert and hogging the tables to make way for patrons who are waiting.
I always feel if the place is quiet and has no other patrons, its alright to hog to the table to study or just hang out. But if there are people in the Q, it is always nice to be considerate and not hog to the tables unnecessary. Not only patrons should do their part but the staff too can always do their part to gently remind the guests. Afterall, a business needs turnover of customers to sustain right? ;)
Their dessert is nice and has quite a wide variety. We especially love their durian mousse and will definitely order this to eat at the shop or take away. This is $5.00 per portion if I remember correctly.
In their shop, they also have several miniature display of these cutesy restaurant setups that looks like HK cafes.
Sometimes we pack back.
