Sports Hub @ Kallang

Not sure if anyone remembers how the old National Stadium looked like? Well, it wanted to close for good to make way for a new stadium but that took years to happen! I still remember we went for a soccer match at the old National Stadium which was supposed to mark the farewell of the old National Stadium. But after that match, the old stadium was there for some time.

Finally the new stadium is ready and opened to public for visitation.

The new stadium looks impressively majestic! Best... the dome can open and close depending on the nature of the programme or activity happening at the stadium. If it rains, spectators need not worry about the rain.

This is such a beautiful project. I sort of saw through its construction when our office was nearby. There is also a new mall just next to the stadium, known as Kallang Wave. Outside the stadium, there is a playground for kids too. The MRT is also within walking distance. Quite a nice place to roam around on a weekend.
