Suki-ya @ Plaza Singapura

I love the shabu shabu at Suki-ya! Usually we patronize the outlet at Marina Square. This is our first time at Plaza Singapura's outlet.

I love this so much that I think I can eat this everyday and not get bored. It feels healthy too! I think we have patronized Suki-ya over more than 10 times in the last two years and never got bored.

The only thing is over the last 2 years, prices have increased. On weekend evenings, its $23.90++ per pax. Considering there is no big meat big seafood, this price is still ok. If they keep increasing the price, I'm not sure if its still worth though. Anyway, for now we still love it very much cos you don't feel sick eating it. Haha. Food is not oily and meat is so thinly sliced that you don't feel over gorged. If you spend more than $80 and owns an OCBC card, there is 10% off.

I especially love the beef there. Its so thinly sliced so soft and taste so yummy. I always crave for the beef slices. The only downside is we are not big eaters. Max for two of us, we will finish only 4 trays of sliced beef. Whereas some tables can easily consume 10 over trays. It is Suki-ya's fortune to have customers like us. Sure won't lose money! :P

There are about 4 types of soup base to choose from. Each pot allows you to choose two types. We usually ask for both the same soup stock - shabu shabu. Shabu shabu has the lightest taste which is what we love.

The buffet bar is full of healthy items such as assorted mushrooms, vegetables, potatoes, pumpkins, corns, radish, carrots, udon, maggi noddles, ramen and etc. (Not all the items are available every day at every outlet though)

There are several types of sauces to choose from too. This is my favourite combi - miso tare with chopped chillies.

I love to dip the noodles into the sauce! I accidentally found this method of eating and loved it to bits. Now my hub does that too except without the chilli. It taste a little like the indo mie goreng we eat. LOL

I have introduced this place to my mum and colleagues and they all love it.

So next time you want to give me a treat... I welcome this place anytime! :D

They have other outlets at Bugis+, Tampines Mall, 112 Katong, Bedok Point and the most recent one to open in Heartland Mall! Omg heartland mall is so close to where I reside!! Hurray!!!!

On a side note, I ever had a very bad experience at their old Marina Square outlet until I wrote a nasty email to their top management. Their operations manager is a real laughing stock. They should be thankful that I like the food enough to continue patronize them. Otherwise usually I will not waste my money at lousy service places.

Will I Return to this Outlet: Yes
Got Service: 7/10
