Christmas Wonderland @ Gardens by the Bay

As much as we love the flower dome, we also love the various activities / theme available at Gardens by the Bay throughout the year.

Still in the Christmas season, Gardens by the Bay is holding a Christmas Wonderland theme. What is Christmas without pretty lightings?

This set up is really pretty and that is where the scheduled man-made snow is held.

Lighted fairies on stilts!

People were gathering around waiting for the man-made snow.

Finally it came and kids went all crazy!

There is no snow in Singapore. There is no Christmas market here too. But we have lotsa activities to bring the mood of Christmas out. Many families and friends in SG do not celebrate Christmas as a religion but its a chance to gather, eat, be merry and bond with your loved ones.

Such carousel feel and I really love it!

Mickey & Friends @ Changi Airport

Rejoice! It's the season of giving!

Hola! I wonder if anyone dislikes Christmas? Not me for sure. Every christmas period, it just feels very heartwarming. Pretty things, pretty lightings and the atmosphere everywhere is just so so awesome.

Even the airport terminal is not spared.

Bring your kids to Changi Airport Terminal 3 for some Mickey and Friends fun if you hadn't.

The awesome looking castle is so so pretty when lighted up.

There are also timings for 'snow' time!

Spend some monies at the airport and you can redeem passes for your child to play in the bouncy castle. There is a minimum spend though so do check! More details here.

There are also some stalls selling Disney merchandise. But I find it rather expensive.

Mid-Autumn @ Gardens By The Bay

In recent years, during Mid-Autumn, the Gardens by the Bay would host lantern structures to celebrate this festive.

In the past, people would all flock to the Chinese Garden for this festive and to be frank, it wasn't worth it. Entrance fee was expensive and the lantern structures weren't that impressive. It also looked the same throughout the years.

Ever since Gardens by the Bay celebrates Mid-Autumn with these lantern displays, we have stopped visiting Chinese Garden. :P

There is no entrance fee at Gardens by the Bay for these lantern displays and the area is huge so there were many more impressive lantern structures being displayed.

Some of the displays were actually made by school students. Students these days are creative and very very talented!

Besides these lantern structures, there are stalls selling snacks and drinks too.

On the day we visited, there was an run/jog event going on and the President was there. I thought it was not a good idea to coincide the event with the mid-autumn festival. There were many families with young kids and when night falls, it can get quite dark. With the crowd, the participants for the run/job made the place even more crowded and can be hazardous at some point. Some latern structures were not lighted up too and that area was very very dark.

Hope next year, it will be better.

Will I Visit Again: Yes
